Default calldown oop with tiny pp.

Villain is 26/19/2.5 over 250 hands.
My reasoning for calling down; he has bet every flop until now when he has something, mostly for hand protection and to build a pot. however he comes alive on the turn when its checked to him.
So i put him on overs, although I realize his range is wider.
Is this fine?
Plan was to call blank river, and fold to J-A river.

BB: $41.69
UTG: $97.50
MP: $131.12
CO: $229.37
BTN: $98.50
Hero (SB): $121.95

Pre-Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
2 folds, CO raises to $4, BTN calls $4, Hero calls $3.50, BB folds

Flop: ($13) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($13) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, CO bets $9, BTN folds, Hero calls $9

River: ($31) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, CO bets $25, Hero calls $25

Besides QJ & maybe KJ, I can't see many overs in his range that missed.

Way more likely to be 55-88,A9,AT,JT,QT. A 26/19 would probably bet most FDs on the flop.

This is not a profitable call imo without some serious reads.

*Misread the PFR's position...there are more missed over combinations than I thought. I still don't like this call though.

what hand does a 26/17/2.5 check the flop with, when he has initiative? And why isnt AK-AJ in his range? And all overcards missed + all draws missed

I'd have folded the river.

i dont think u are good enough often enough on the river to make it profitable, mid PPs are in his range and they are still ahead of you.

yes i agree villains line is fishy given check on flop, but i still think 44 is too thin a call.

i think i 3bet pre 75% of the time here atleast then you have got abit more intiative to go with you weak pair.

as played fold river. I dont think he is bluffing the river it smells like a weak 9 played pretty bad

You're right...the CO's range is really wide so he is going to have lots of marginal holdings on the flop...however, this range still beats you by the river. A guy like this is going to have mix up his cbets occasionally. I think AK/AQ probably bets out on the flop and most FDs lead out as well...so lots of the range you beat is gone.

You didn't give us a read on the button, is he really aggressive or is he a huge call station?

I just don't think this is profitable long run but whatever...I'm guessing you put him on AK/AQ/QJ and this is just a thinly veiled brag thread.

Actually, I think this is fine with the right read.

Flop is very tasty so he'd be silly not to bet a strong hand, and also reluctant to cbet air into two Villains. Then the turn is a brick, and the river changes nothing except it's kind of a scare card, so those are good spots for Villain to fire.

Or he could be trapping us, in which case gg him, but really I don't mind this line at all.

Turn and river stats would help if you have any kind of sample size.

I think this is fine. This looks like a bluff a lot and I'm not sure that many villans value bet 88 or 77 on the river, and surely he leads with an overpair on the flop?

button folded the turn so he isnt really a big part of the hand. Had to check the PT, and it was his first orbit at the table. So no tells/stat on him.

I think your answer is good, but I dislike the last sentence, cause it was not meant to be brag, I wanted honest opinions on my play.

Villains aggression on flop/turn/riv is 4/2/1.80 over 250 hands.
