And a picture:

Thank you.

We bought 1300 of them last year for our game (River Poker Tour series). Very good chip for the money - nice feel ,look, and they have held up well.

I made the mistake of buying nexgens before getting samples, and I didn't like them at all. They look good, but they feel very plastic-y. I used them about twice and finally just gave them to my sister. I would love to have the almost $200 I spent on them back -- if I had ordered samples, I would never have bought a full set.

That said, many, many people love Nexgens.

So the best advice for you and for ALL people looking for poker chips:

1. Get samples before you buy.
2. Go to ChipTalk for more information. (But kiss your bank account good-bye -- as soon as you become a member there, it will disappear faster than you ever imagined!)

Hi,

I bought a bunch of these from the same web site (discountcasinogear.com) and I’m very happy with them. I had them hot stamped with my initials, so security is pretty good.

The only complaint I had with them was that the edges were not smooth. I don’t know if this is common, or I just got a bad batch. I took some very fine sand paper and smoothed the edges while watching TV one evening. It took about and hour and a half to do 1000 chips. No big deal. (This probably would have fixed itself after several hours of use.)

I’m also happy with Discount Casino Gear (no – I’m not affiliated with them). The shipping price was quite reasonable and the products were as advertised.

Good luck.

I have a set of 750 and I love em. If you get them and expect Paulson's, you'll be disappointed. But if you're just looking for a quality home game chip that isn't $1/chip, stacks well, feels good and looks nice (check out the different series for different color schemes), these are definitely the way to go.

At this price point what do you really expect? I think the only things you should really concern yourself with a) is do you like the way they look? b) is this a reputable reseller and reputable brand. At a $180 for 1000 chips they are disposable.

They are awesome. I have the River Poker Tour series also and they are great. I bought a set of 650 over a year ago and we've used them weekly in my home game and they have held up great. They still look basically brand new. They feel good, they sound good and are 10x better than any of the el-cheapo chips you'll buy that have that horrible metal "ping" because of the metal slug in them.

I do not think you'll be disappointed. I read all the reviews at chiptalk.net and 21ace.com and because of the rave reviews for Nexgen that is why I bought them.

I too have the River Poker Tour series. I love the color selections for the price. Used weekly for about a year. For what you pay there isn't a better chip out there, especially if everyone you know has the same old Wal-Mart style chips.

Also, do a search for labels (either Google or 2+2) as for a decent price you can have custom labels printed for any chip you buy. I don't have experience with this myself, but by the looks of it (and others' opinions) this can be a very classy addition to your set.
