Re: first hand on a HU SNG, opponent pushes. your play?
2 possible senarios :
1. He's a donkey 2. He may be a good player who got a monster on first round and wants you to think hes a donkey and call him. Ancwer : In both scenarios you have no reason to call him on the first round if you dont have a monster yourself. Just wait and see how he continues, if he's a donkey youll have plenty more opportunities to bust him |

Note: you wont make money on the long run like ppl here are saying having lets say TT vs AK because you are paying an entry fee for the SNG.

[ QUOTE ]
You guys are ridiculous. TT+ AQs+ AKo would be instacalls for me. [/ QUOTE ] This is about my range. You cannot pass up a chance with a pair like 10s or Js since this guy could be total lunatic pushing with unders or connectors. He could be high/drunk and getting a kick out of pushing all in "blind" the first hand. I would even be tempted to call with a wider range including AQ and AJs. |

Re: first hand on a HU SNG, opponent pushes. your play?
open push here is generally absolutely nothing. I call with a very wide range, unless I know this opponent is known for doing this with big hands. I probably call 99 plus and AQ plus

Re: first hand on a HU SNG, opponent pushes. your play?
I keep pretty good notes on tourney players. I've found them especially helpful in heads-up play - I find a much higher likelyhood of seeing a player frequently in HU play.
If I don't have any notes on a player, I probably would not call with less the KK. If I know him - different story... |

Re: first hand on a HU SNG, opponent pushes. your play?
What if you make a standard raise on the button on the 1st hand, and they push all-in?
What do you call with with 100BB starting stacks? What if you started with 50BB starting stacks? Assume $20 buy-in. |
