[ QUOTE ] GT loses to UConn in championship [/ QUOTE ] at least that game was never really in doubt, prob made it easier to take. [/ QUOTE ] Kasay kicking the Lombardi Trophy out of bounds was still fresh in my mind, so I was basically sitting there miserably the entire game without a single happy thought in my mind as GT never looked like they had a chance. |

Re: Games that made you cry.
OP I was also born in '80 and liked the Giants back then - remember that game like it was yesterday. That was a tough one - they dominated the 1st half, committed a bad turnover at the end; but I still felt like they had the game won when they went up 13-7. And yeah, the interference call was bush league.
The last game I remember crying about was 2nd round Syracuse vs. defending champion Arkansas in '95. It was "Chris Weber time out Part II". In a way it was worse because 'Cuse had the game in the bag unlike Michigan vs. UNC. They eventually lost in OT. Lots of brutal losses since then but I tend to get more angry than sad. |

In 96 when the Broncos were the best team in the league and they lost at home to Jacksonville in playoffs. Still makes me upset.

June 14th, 1994: Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals. I still remember watching Messier holding the cup.

Re: Games that made you cry.
dolphins-chargers divisional playoff game 1995'...dolphins were up 21-6 at the half ..and Dan Marino was crushing the chargers ...the chargers then upped their defense and shutout Marino in the second half...and they won 22-21 ...the chargers scored the winning touchdown with 35 seconds left on the clock ,the dolphins had a chance to score at the end ...but Pete [censored] stoyanovich choked on a 46 yard field goal ...ughhh ....
also when Allan Houston hit a game-winning shot vs the Heat game 5 in the 1999 opening round crushed me ... |
