Default Set against a fish

He is a mega fish at50/2.5/.64 over 100 hands.

I realize Q10 is a major part of his range, but I feel it is way more likely he just turned a 2 pair hand. What is your play on the turn, and do you call the river?

After the hand I figured pushing the turn was correct because I ended up calling river.

HOWEVER...being results oriented he showed K8o so he woulda folded to the turn push and I would have gotten less money.

Well, your obv not folding on the river due to stack sizes and amount of money bb has left. You need to push the turn here to get max value out of the flush draw hands, two pair hands. Q10 is getting your money anyways with stacks here, so push the turn.

can someone explain why to push the turn ?

here's my thinking, i'd like to know if it sounds like everyone
else's.

After the turn, we still have 10 outs to improve.
However, a flush draw only has 7. ( has to avoid pairing the board )
And a straight draw only has 8, assuming he has a 10 only.

Wouldn't just a min, or 2x min raise on the turn be okay ?

Or is the thinking to push based a lot on stack sizes,
meaning that my 2x min raise idea doesn't leave Hero with
enough chips to make any play on the river ?

if Hero and Villain both had way more in their stacks,
would you still push the turn ?

thanks.

No. A min raise is almost never a good play.

A turn push is best because you are way ahead of his range on the turn and the board is chalk full of draws. It also eliminates the prospect of facing a tricky river decision when a scare card falls.

Getting your money in with the best hand is what the game's all about.
