If you're gonna c/r flop it needs to be bigger I think. I'd say like 3.4. But it's fine.

Thanks, should have said villian is aggressive and I knew he would bet so I was going for the check raise on the flop!

Lead the flop as you were the pre flop raiser. It gets kinda obvious if you check as the pf bettor when you hit a hand. As played, you must c/r much bigger due to the draws on the board. I would say to like 3.5 or so. By the time you hit the turn, it would be a clear bet/call because you have so much invested by that point. You could even just shove the turn assuming you bet more on that flop.

Not necessarily, it can induce a bet because you're probably not betting into two people with air, so they can assume you are weak and bet.

From my experience, everytime I see the pf bettor check the flop, and then fire the turn like this, its usually a slowplayed monster. I guess if youre going to do it though, then you have to do it with whiffed overcards as well once in a while. I just hate checking this flop when so many bad turn cards can come out and for free at that. If I was to try this move it would be on a much more dry board than this.
