i still think a bbv reg would have been best for this, but nt at least has a clue about most of the posters here and if his main role is support for gw, this won't be bad assuming he can leave his oot modding standards out and adjust

Obviously my opinion doesn't mean much as my post count is low, but I do read BBV4L a fair bit so here are my two cents:

Making NT! mod of BBV4L would be the equivalent of when Leeds Utd made Brian Clough their manager*. Many of the posters here seem to have been exiled from OOT and consequently dislike him and his style.

However, I think something does need to change in the modding of the forum. Gildwulf is clearly a fantastic and funny poster, but I do not think he is suited to modding. To be a good mod of a forum such as this or OOT you need to be prepared that people will not like you and the decisions you make. Modding one the strat forums I imagine is a lot easier as for the most part people will adhere to the rules. In the popular OT forums the rules need to be clear and to be consistently applied, which is not happening at the moment in BBV4L. This is one of NT!'s strengths I believe.

Lionel was permabanned and then Gildwulf changed this to a tempban. IMO this was weak and undermined Citanul (who I think originally banned him). The rules on porn in the sticky are clear, but sanctions are not being consistently applied. Whether this is down to mods not seeing certain pictures I don't know but it sends out unclear messages as to what is allowed and what isn't.

I don't want to sound overcritical of Gildwulf a forum like BBV4L needs to be modded by someone who doesn't care if people hate him for his decisions, and it doesn't seem like Gildwulf is comfortable with that.

Jeez whoever you are thats terrible advice. GW is doing an awesome job of making exceptions, THATS WHY HE IS THE MOD. NT's one size fits all adherence to rules is why oot is one way, and bbv4l is another. Your point is similar to Rob Thomas* singing for the Stooges.

yeah guys honestly i like this forum when it is good but i wouldn't have wanted to mod it for more than like 10 minutes.
