Default Are there any poker players who rathole for a living?

im asking this because i see a lot of players who play for a living whether its tournaments or cash games. There's also those players who shortstack and i heard about that player dont know his name that made so much from shortstacking the 10 20 no limit game in party.

A lot of people rathole for sure but are there any actual PROS that do it? Meaning thats their only job and they rathole for a living? I am also talking about those people who rathole even though they buy in full.

well the idea I guess would be to pocket some high value chips when u get a big stack, then make sure somehow u never go all in until you can sneak them back onto the table later. But I agree, the idea of rat holing in a tournament is laughable

but on a similar note, what has happened before is a player in a tournament will have many 'horses' in the tournament playing with him, who will pocket high value chips and hand them off to the ringerleader on breaks who then sneaks them into his stack

Shortstackers...a few whom are very good..."rathole" in online cash games by leaving the table after they are doubling up, and waiting the mandatory time so they can sit in with the minimum.

On UB, you can just turn off the software, and re-sit immediatley with the min.

I know there's at least one guy who posts in the Omaha forums who makes a living shortstacking 6-8 PLO tables, I suspect there are probably more.
