Another dick move question

seriously, this is trivial. your action was the correct move, and it was not a dick thing to do. (it would've been dick to yourself to not move)

I must say I'm a bit surprised by the results. The people in the line were clearly not happy with my move. Apparantly one can't always judge actions by how pleasing they are to other people.

In some grocery stores (for example, I've seen this at the Union Square Whole Foods in NYC) they have one long line and they have a line director person who directs people to registers as they open up.

If everyone was acting like this in one big line and going to the next open register, then yeah, I think it was a dick move, but more power to him!
