AK late 14 left
$20 100 seater. 20 pay. 14 are left.
Hey I had 8700 with 300-600 blinds. I noticed this one player is a HBL and does it with a wide range of hands, he is pretty much a calling station. I decided to push all in here. What do you guys think? |

Re: AK late 14 left
Well he had 77 and called.
Is this a bad call by him? Afterall he's a station anyways. Should I have known he would call and therefore not pushed? Should I have not pushed all in, and instead simply raised for a push after the flop? |

Re: AK late 14 left
Depends on his stack size, he knew you would be pushing with a wide range of hands so his call is reasonable. No if you know he is going to call with just about anything you want him to because alot of the time you are a favorite or flipping. No you should push preflop. Try not to be results oriented, concentrate on making the right plays.

Re: AK late 14 left
push and don't watch...easiest way to ignore results...your push was corrct and his call was fine...HBL is not used in our world to the best of my knowledge...even with your definition I'm still confused...I assume you meant he limps often

Re: AK late 14 left
I just read about HBLers in Collin Moshman's book about sngs. Just means he limps even with high blinds. It's not a big deal.
I feel a bit discouraged about gettin that far and puttin it all on a coin flip. I was pretty sure it was the right move. Thanks for the help n advice |
