ZJ i just think your wrong here, people won't call with A9 on this turn, and they even have to think about folding draws.

You dont have to give him credit for thinking. Even a lvl 1 thinker is like, [censored] jack paired, i have A9/88 probably not good. Nothing indicates he's a calling station.

[/ QUOTE ]

So your only betting turn with J+? That doesnt seem right, lotsssssssss of randoms call turn with A 9 here anddddd draws.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty much only betting the turn with a J and air.

but bakes said no one double barrels that card.

Thats the point, people do. I check here a lot, and i think its incorrect, cause im like zomg i have QQ here, and its too good to fold if c/r (but its not).

I didn't really mean "no one double barrels that card", i more meant no random unknown is going to think that someone is double barreling.

I would check/call turn and see what river brings. If it went check/check and river blanks, I'd bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you're going to bet a blank river you think we're good on the turn, right?

Based on that logic, why not bet here?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get this question. You're completely misunderstanding his logic. His decision to bet river comes only after he sees Villain check behind on the turn. This is kind of a critical piece of information that isn't available during the turn decision.

[/ QUOTE ]

So we give him a free card to catch up, with hopes of getting value out of 88/x9 on the river if it's a blank? (Not too many blanks really)

If we check this turn I'd expect to see a bet that's a bluff about ~10% of the time here. Is this way off?

Good discussion here, my thoughts are as follows:

I think a check on the turn is best.

If villain checks my plans are:
A. Check call a river thats a low diamond.
B. Check fold to a river thats Kd/Qd since that hits almost every draw.
C. Bet a non diamond rag for value.
D. Unsure what to do with Ad.

If villain bets i plan to call turn and fold to a large river bet that isn't a J/T.

i like to check/call the turn in this spot and check again on a safe river and hope he slows down... and as djk said earlier if he checks behind on turn and a safe one comes on the river you bet for value
