Mixed Games Points League

I'd like to run a league of games for POG. Each game's result yields points toward an overall championship standing.

Each player in the league will get to choose one game of their liking for the group to participate in. I will have veto power over the games that we decide to play. I would like to confine the games to something that is easily playable on the message boards (ex. all card games will be vetoed).

The point system will be finalized when we have a final player count, but will reward consistent finishes (with a slight emphasis for winning, similar to the Nascar Nextel Cup points race).

I'm aiming for 8-12 players, but if there's more interest, we'll do that!

Open signups for now. I'll post a deadline later.

If there are any questions, I'll field them in thread.

What will the rate of play be? I generally can't be online during daytime hours, but am online every single night. Will this be doable or will it be more like survivor in that you need to be able to participate during the day.

I'm hoping for most of the games to be played in a thread or done via PM's.

So hopefully the games can be played whenever you've got time. That's my thoughts anyway.

I'm hoping the games that people select will be similar to val's mixed games challenge. I don't want to eliminate people though.

I want all the games to be big. (Also, if luck is too big a factor imo, I'm going to veto the game.)
