5/10 draw, best turn line?
Villain is "Smart Lag", good reg running at 19/16
Full Tilt Poker, $5/$10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter BTN: $1,000 SB: $2,133.75 BB: $306.35 UTG: $1,685.35 Hero (CO): $1,245 Pre-Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO) UTG calls $10, Hero raises to $45, BTN calls $45, 2 folds, UTG calls $35 Flop: ($150) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players) UTG checks, Hero bets $100, BTN calls $100, UTG folds Turn: ($350) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Whats the best turn line here? I dont really like betting here because we would have to fold against a reasonable shoving range(We need about 29% equity but we are 25% against his range) I dont really like a c/r either because i dont think he is b/f this turn very often. Re: 5/10 draw, best turn line?
i agree with most of your thoughts, but what about the times you bet and i fold? i think you should lead because you do have ace high and FE is nice.
i think folding to a shove is reasonable, even if it is pretty gross. i would probably spite call though. |

Re: 5/10 draw, best turn line?
I don't want to check-call this turn. I don't to CRAI either because he might bet-fold a flush draw and call w/ everything else. I think I'd just bet it like I would w/ everything huge and hope he doesn't shove on me. If he does, whatever, but I think we have to take that risk.

Re: 5/10 draw, best turn line?
I'm kinda thinking out loud here, but I think a turn shove could be viable, but I'm not so sure. I think a reasonable calling range for jfish is like KJ+, and aside from KQ/KJ there isn't much in his range that plays it this way that might call a shove. I suppose some people will put us on a draw and call QJ and stuff as well, but that's a rarity I think.
My standard line on the turn though is to bet again, around 80-90% pot. But I think a turn shove does have some merit. The problem is obviously that a turn shove looks pretty suspicious and a lot like a draw. I agree that a turn c/r is pretty bad, if I checked I'd c/c most bets I think depending on size of course. |

Re: 5/10 draw, best turn line?
Chk/shove is bad, if he bets he's not folding enough.
I'd bet/fold. Either bet normal and shove any river lower than a 9. or Bet 100 again and hope to catch him napping/playing showdown poker with crap pair+gutter, then bet big on rivers less than a 9, (to fold out crap one pair hands) big on flush rivers 9 or higher, (he has str8/two pair often) and small on flush rivers 8 or lower. (for val and/or to induce bluff raises with crap made hands) |

I think betting is best here but what do people do here on blank rivers?

I think betting is best here but what do people do here on blank rivers? [/ QUOTE ] probably shoving as he ain't calling off his stack on a drawy board, is he? (if he has a hand strong enough to put it in he does it before the river b/c of drawy board) |
