He doesnt have a range, after 50 hands, the read is he is taggish.

Personally I look at this from villans eyes. What does he think we have? We call 2 streets after his preflop raise. We have slightly more than PSB left on the river, so he shoves for value. If hero has any hand that would call a bet, he is calling the river here, and villan knows this. So his shove is for value, and I think 1 pair=no good.

Agree 100%.. your hand is pretty much defined as an ace from calling 2 streets. AQ is his only legitimate hand that you could beat, and I think that's a long shot.

I think it's a call based on how you played it.

If he does have a better hand than TPTK, what hands does he think you'll call the river bet with? Wouldn't a set try a smaller for value instead?

Why cant we put him on a range after 50hands?

I think there are only 2 hands which have us beat: 99, AA.
AK is splitting. And we beat AQ, AJ.

AA is unlikely, because he wouldn't bet that much on the river, because basicly an ace will call, and since 3 aces would be out there, we might have called down with a nine.
Or he would have checked the turn.

99 is the holding i am afraid of.

I think 3barreling is as likely as AA.
Doesnt happen that often at uNL.

Now AK/AQ/AJs:

villain seems to be tagish, therefore those 3 hands would raise preflop. He fired on every street, because hero didnt raise. Me might thought hero would call down with a weaker ace.

I dont think it's an easy fold. It could be a marginal fold, but i still dont know why he should have 99 here all the time. I dont think it's an easy call, because he could have a set. Therefore marginal call.

I just think this spot looks like its gonna get called very often due to stack sizes and I dont think a taggish person does this without more than TPTK, and calling for most likely a chop doesnt feel right.

TBH, I cant see myself doing this with AJ/AQ if I was the villan.

Spurious, villain could also have 33 as most of us raise any pair in that spot.

Marginal call because you underrepresented your hand. I'm not criticizing the way you played it, but to him it would seem unlikely that you have AK. He could have something like K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (or another [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s hand) where he kept firing on the turn and tried to bluff out a weak ace at the end. I don't think he would bet AQ here. So it's either a big hand like 99 or nothing. But I'm not necessarily willing to give him credit for a big hand, so I take my chances and call.

AA,33,99,88,66,AK,A9,maybe A3,maybe A6, maybe AQ,and a more maayybe AJ....that's about it...unless he decides to try some triple barrel bluff with KQ or w/e.

BTW I think pre-flop is uugglyyy. 3bet 100%.
