Insurance: Can I just call here?

I am running so badly the last days, that I need insurance on a pretty basic thing. I think a river shove is perfectly fine but my confidence is a little failing. Villan 73/3/1.0 on 200 hands. He doesn't have KK or QQ to beat me he needs the case seven and eigher er K or a queen. That can only happen to me und I have to shove and be thankfull that he hasn't a full stack right?

In this case I think you are looking for assurance not insurance. And let me assure you that I would play the hand exactly how you did. Chalk it up to varience.

No other way to play it, really, IMO. Baluga Theorem, etc. If you double him up, it's bad luck/variance, but I think a vast majority of the time you're getting called by any 7, AK, KQ, etc.
