check/calling the flop to c/r the turn is pretty awful in this spot if that was your plan. you're usually just folding out all his bluffs and getting shoved on when you're behind... as in what happened here. basically what I'm getting at is if the turn was a blank and villain bets AGAIN, you're usually behind/marginally ahead/chopping or villain is bluffing so there is no value in a check/raise.

No one folds pre. Most people overplay in BSB, making KQ nearly a monster. I'd have re-popped.

And there is value in a turn CR here. His AF is the crappy part. The turn Q is likely a non-factor: makes your hand better but you're still ahead/behind most of the same crap as on the flop (but it looks prettier TRIPS OMG!).

His low PFR and low AF would lead me to a fold. If called, the hands i'd expect to win against: AA/KK. Change the J to a blank, and it's an easy call.

Edit: should have just CR the flop instead, as there are too many cards you don't want to see: J/T/9/A.

I don't like it. You'll build a big pot OOP with a marginal holding. And if he calls you're usually behind.

I c/c flop and lead turn, because he'll check behind worst hands.

As played I dont raise the turn. Dont see what shoves that you beat given how you played. Call eh turn bet.

I don't really like check-raising turn as when we're called we gonna be behind a lot. I probably check-call turn if he's aggressive and likely to double barrel. If not, then leading turn is a good option as well.

KQ is a small pot hand unless you are against a week tight player who is predictable and you can take the pot away form or your against a loose big pot player who will call some size with top pair no kick type hands....you have to fold pre flop.

for eg..calling here makes the pot $7....hitting and betting by you say $5 makes amd he raises now to say $15 and if you call your now pot committed so you would have to fold.

if you call pre flop your strategy has to be to keep the pot small (against a tag or an unknown) even if it means giveing free cards.

Hitting the Q on the turn as played is now a second nut type hand and uselly slow playing these hands work best...(they fold weeker hands and take all your stack with stonger hands. Don;t kr now just k call.

why build a big pot on the turn then be faced with a tough decision if he shows agression back
