What hand would you ever play this way that has the king of spades in it? If I'm the villian and I got shoved on, I'm definitely calling with QsQx...

People that play 200 on stars know that i am a regular who plays very crazy in 3b pots. I can float this flop with complete air, and often will do so. I could also have AxKs and decide not to 4b due to stack sizes, which is completely reasonable. I highly doubt youd try to bet/call this river for stacks instantly with QxQs. Not many players are going to bluff shove this river.

2+2 makes me sad for the amount of close-minded thinking on these forums. I think this whole area of the game (turning made hands that figure to be good a large % of the time into bluffs) deserves alot of discussion. However, people choose to avoid this stuff because it isnt standard. You cannot play great poker without an open mind.

Now flame away...

If you play very crazy in 3bet pots, why exactly wouldn't this be a trivial b/c with QsQx?

my point was i can have the Ks here because i play that way. You do have a point though, however i dont think many players, def not nits, can make that call easily. It is a really unlikely bluff spot imo

I agree with this, and it's something I've been experimenting a lot with recently and it's a very tricky aspect of the game to get just right.

You've had some very solid posters/players respond to your thread and give you similar advice. I know that Imrahil, Rudikulous and I are always open to crazy bluffs and new lines as the three of us are pretty creative (sometimes too much so lol) at the tables. So the fact that the responses you've gotten say that a shove is unnecessary should tell you that it really is in this spot, and believe me I for one love bluff shoving rivers

One last thing, the fact that you said this:

Makes me think you should not be trying to bluff people in this type of spot :P

i dont really get why you would want to shove...do you think he's b/f-ing QsQx? you would be repping like one hand, KsKx (and you might even take other lines with that hand) if so. getting people to fold nut and second nut flushes is pretty -EV imo. you might have some FE vs. other spades but meh. if he knows your a reg capable of making crazy moves, doesnt that lower your FE? just seems as if having a spewy image would hurt not help here.
