The value of 3betting is just debatable.

Ok so I exaggerated, anyway yes you can debate on the value of 3betting but that has nothing to do with having to get it in every time he 4bets since it completely changes his range... I don't get what the hell you guys are saying.

If 3betting(intending to fold) is -EV you propably shouldn't do it and should rather smooth call or 3bet/shove or 3bet/call.
The key is really that a good opponent likely won't just call here oop very often. He will be either folding if he thinks he cant setmine profitably or 4bet with junk/AK/QQ+. Hell he might 4bet with TT/JJ which makes 3bet/folding even worse for us.
