Re: River Check Raise?
i agree with most people that it is a bad sport for a check raise for the villain, mainly because the villain will be checking a jack here alot now that the king hit.

Re: River Check Raise?
This is interesting theory. But than what cards do you c/r?
I definetely have kicked myself when i c/r and could have b/3b but that is definetely the minority of the time i screwplay. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] are there any river cards that c/r the river is a good play on this board? [/ QUOTE ] 2-9 that doesn't complete a flush. [/ QUOTE ] as a rule i never try to sexy the river when i can 3bet if my bet is raised. and obv you can 3bet a 2-9. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: River Check Raise?
it just seems that recently in a lot of the 30 games on FT, people with A rag have just been calling sb raises in blind battles.
when the board comes Axx and im the sb i bet flop bet turn and check call river with second pair usually and they have the A everytime. So this time i said screw this, he for sure has an A and im gonna c/r the river. Either that or he missed clubs and will take a stab. therefore i c/r and he had A9. i rarely sexy and whenever i do it usually backfires as most explained already, therefore im not sure i like doing it. it was just kind of a "god dammit im gonna get back at these people by winning 1 more bb by playing their stupid A rag this way" type of hands. |
