Default TPGK, paired board HU.

Our villain is 52/8/1.2.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, BB calls, UTG folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

River: (10 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12 BB

On the flop I thought a call good because either he bluffs and we want to encourage him or we are behind and want to loose less.

Against this type of over agressive villain I think it is okay, to be honest. I'm really not happy about that turn move, though, since I think we lose a huge portion of the time when that happens.

How many hands is that stat read over? If it's significant what does an 8 pfr mean? Probably nothing good for you so I'd want to get to a showdown cheaply.

IMO betting the turn is fine. You are in a pretty good situation. Villain is loose but not real aggressive, especially pre-flop. I think when I am check-raised, I save my 2BB and fold.

With SB slowing down on the turn, my first thought is usually that he has KK/JJ here and I'll check behind under the assumption he's agro enough to bluff the river. If I don't know if he'll bet the river, I'll just bet now. As since we did, I'd probably fold to the raise.

Edit: I was also thinking the Villain has the ability of folding. If stats/reads indicate he's showing down no matter what and a VPIP of 52 is a pretty good sign he is, then I bet.

assuming only high pockets in villains hands, we have only 2 combos that beats us and 12+ that don't. He had a WSD of 46% over 46 hands only but this is the micros so he might call down seeing the pair on board and suspect a bluff. Me wrong?
I should have folded to the raise though.
