Default marginal hands late in tournys in late pos.

i dont really know how to play marginal hands with a short stack ie. around 10 bb which with ante m = much lower usually 3 or 4, hands KQ to QT maybe even Q9 in late pos, (cutoff/button) whats the value in shoving. basically i was thinking there is not gonna be a hand that your dominating, its either pk pr, weak ace, or bigger hand calling you in those spots from the blinds or button. late in tournys its kinda gamble gamble unless you have a decent sized stack allowing you to still play. can you find a fold and look for better spot in the next 20-30 hands or just shove and try to accumulate chips. even if you get called its usually 50 50 or 60 40

HELP!

The value in shoving is that you maximize your fold equity and pick up the blinds a lot of the time. If you just standard raised then folded to a shove you are giving up a lot of value. If you just call then you are vulnerable to raises or flops that hit your opponent. Even if you do shove and call, with these types of hands you are unlikely to be in bad shape.
