Default Beating the Rake @ PLO100 ?

The general idea is that at lower levels the rake has a more significant effect on money earned. If at a given level you never have pots big enough to cap the rake, your are always pay %5. If you regularly have pots that exceed the rake cap this percentage diminished and you get a larger return on investment. For example, if rake is %5 and the cap is $3, you need pots greater than $60 to "beat the rake". I guess "beat the rake just means win some money which the house does not get a cut of.

Most people probably know this, so my question is at what limit at what level does this start to make a difference? I'm thinking of the games your typically find on PS or FTP. I know I can look at table VPIPs at a certain level to get an idea, but I'm wondering what player experience indicates.

I play PLO50 now and played PLO 25 for a couple months before moving up. When I see the chunk that rake has taken out of my profits it makes me ill (especially at PLO25). Even after rake back it sucks.

If I move up to PLO100 will the effect of the rake be significantly reduced?

I post this here because pots grow differently than in NLHE so I'd get different advice in other forums.

um. yes. you explained why in your intro paragraph.

but as somebody said above, if you learn how to beat the game at a steady clip, you won't worry about rake.

if you play higher than 0.05/0.10 and lower than 2/4 rake issues should always be taken into account.

why make an issue out of something you cant control?? its like worrying about varience - why bother??

PLO like most things in life is about controling the controlables, and not worrying about anything we cant affect through our actions

rakeback is one reason, if you actually can see how big the relative rake is on these levels, that many ignore more or less, struggling for best possible bonuses/rakeback is easier. its also shows that struggling to higher limits (maybe trying to build bankroll instead of making small withdrawals often etc.) have HUGE benefits because of the big decreasment in relative rake you pay.

many players "know" it more or less but think "ah, I have 27% RB so its ok". but having 27% RB is not much at all sinse the site keeps 73%.

this is actully something I have thought much about and I think 99.9% of the players on these levels doesnt know/understand how big the rake effect is on the winrate etc. I have thought of writing a long post or article or something about this in general some day.
