play some NL$10/NL$25 full-ring before you go to play live just to get reacquainted with the sort of play that you'll be up against at most tables up to $2/$5 NL.

And also play close attention to the players that know the Dealer by name, and vice-versa. Good idea to know who the locals are, as they usually play better. Always good to start conservatively, until you can feel out the table and your opponents.

Check your calendar. The WSOP is over. The vast majority of those players are long gone.
