Re: Rockford Charity Poker??
The rake isnt really any worse than that of a normal casino. The place isnt bad at all i was there a couple weeks ago. Their sit n go tables and tournaments i think are a waste of time but the ring games, although somewhat small tend to be very good. The common stakes there are 2/5t 1/2t and normally 1-3 spread and 2-5 spread, the last one i went to there were no tables of 2-5 but they did have 2 4/8 limit game going. Theyll run any stake as long as theres a high enough demand for it.
Its a friendly environment the only downside to this place is the dealers are very off and on. There are some really good ones and some pretty bad ones. I guess thats a lot like the casino but I havent had any problem ever going. Its a fun place, get there around 5-9,10 since thats when the most traffic is and best table selection |

Re: Rockford Charity Poker??
I never had a problem with the $250 rule which may or may not exist. I usually end up selling chips to other players at the table when they bust out.

Their WSOP sats have a halfway decent structure, too.

Re: Rockford Charity Poker??
Wow. I was surprised to find anything on these games at 2+2. Now I definitely want to go see what they're like. Anyone know how often they spread 1/2 NL?
ChiTown...here is there website if you haven't seen it. It's pretty detailed. http://www.rockfordcharitablegames.com/ |

Re: Rockford Charity Poker??
The $250 max winning is a state law and has not changed. If somebody goes over the max simply buy another card for $10. The Chicago area has been seeing an increase in chartable poker events. All types of poker games are offered but the popularity of no limit along with the rake structure dominate these events. Chicago Charitable Games will be running an event this Saturday 4/7 in Willowbrook. For information on all Chicago poker events go to www.cardclubs.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=165

Re: Rockford Charity Poker??
How often does RCG spread its limit & spread-limit games? I've been to Chicago Charitable Games twice now and limit has never gotten going.
