Default Break even at NL10 so far....

I have about 3300 hands in. Seems like whenever I get up a few buyins, then I get hit with a string of coolers and badbeats.

Seriously, I'm a rock. I set mine and value bet top pair and two pair. I don't stack off light. Nothing fancy.

This strategy should be profitable at this level.
I thought I would play this conservative style just to prove to myself that I can be disciplined.

I know NL10 is the bottom of the barrel. At least at Full Tilt it is. But that's where I am.

Is this what grinding is like, you break even for a few days, then one day you go up 5-10 buyins?

Yes, its exactly what grinding is like. You're fighting over a few big blinds every hundred hands. Many of these will come all at once in AI pots. You only have 3300 hands, not close to a significant sample. Look at the graphs that people post in the chat thread if you want reference. Many people play that many hands almost daily and will have one big day followed by one big downer followed by a small winning day etc. etc.

Youre getting raked at 10NL at twice the speeds of 25NL and up. the 10NL level on fulltilt uses 10% raked at .50 and up while the rest of the levels up 5% raked at $1 and up. This is pretty significant and as said you're fighting for a couple BB/100, well at 10NL fulltilt is taking more off the top. The play at this level isnt significantly more bad than 25NL to make this extra cut worth it.

Yeah, I heard that the Full Tilt rake at NL10 is higher. But I have a rakeback, which is pretty sweet.

I only have 3300 hands so far and I've already made about $80 in rakeback this month. So I guess if you consider that...I'm up 8 buyins.
