Can't agree more about taking the fish's money, but I'm not sure I want him getting run over. Sounds like somebody I'd like to have back at the table in the future. Especially after he's seemingly learned his lesson.

Give someone an inch, and they'll take a mile. The game has rules. If the dealer doesn't control the table properly, then the floor should be called over. I am sure if the dealer had simply said to the player that pulling cards from the muck was not allowable that would have been good enough, but from the sound of things that didn't happen.
