Re: I want to call this river so badly
It seems to me that if you're going to raise A9s OOP, that when you hit TPWK, you can't relinquish control of the betting by a c/c on the flop. You force yourself into calling station status unless you hit your 3 outer or running straight cards.
Lead the flop for 1/2 pot and shut down if there is any more action. There are too many scare cards on the turn, plus the likelihood that youre behind to start with to let the flop go by without anymore info. |

Gottcha. So you think were beat here almost always. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't say that, I said a blocking bet was pointless. what are you blocking and why are you blocking it? |

Blocking from getting bluffed? [/ QUOTE ] Ugh... If you've gotten to the river so far, you WANT him to bluff, thus check-insta-call. |

Re: I want to call this river so badly
i agree. point of calling turn is w/ intention of snap-calling river bet.

Re: I want to call this river so badly
I guess that's another reason why I should just fold the turn. I have no idea where I am in the hand.

Re: I want to call this river so badly
I hate the flop check
Personally, i like the pf raise, but would bet 2k on flop and shut down from there. Prob is on turn we are outkicked or two paired by almost all Aces, are facing a pot commiting bet where we dont know where we stand |
