Default 25/50 HU river spot vs FromSparta

Villain and I have no history. He seems competent but not very good. He has some leaks but doesn't seem bad. He hasn't C/R me yet this session I think. He seems to like making hero calls more than making huge bluffs. I think checking behind is the worst option here so basically it comes down to bet/call or bet/fold. I haven't made any hero call downs this session if that matters. I am up some buy-ins against him but no obvious tilt signs yet.

i misread post a bit, but i think betting 1600-2100/fold is prob best against this type of opponent.

bet/fold, there's no way you can check and he doesn't sound like the type of player to c/r bluff here

id do a 18 second think mode and bet either 675 or 1750. id be more inclined to call a c/r obv if i bet 600.

I hate waiting 18 seconds to make a bet here, if I do that then I do it with the intention to call a shove.
I bet it fairly quickly and around 1650 folding to a shove

with your first line here, i would rather bet large and fold than bet small to induce a shove between the two lines raptor suggested. Betting right under the pot/folding seems best.
