TV stars that left then returned later

I've been trying to think of TV shows where one of the main characters left after a few years, then came back a couple years later. The only example I can come up so far is Luke Perry leaving Beverley Hills 90210 in 1995 then coming back 3 years later for the last 2 seasons. Help?

On Rosanne the girl who played the oldest daughter left and the blonde from Scrubs took her place.

The last season the original girl came back and I think they even had a couple jokes about her absence / return.

Actually I did start to respond to this thread by searching for Steve, but just came across pictures of Peggy (no change there), and the damn redhead snagged me again [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
