AA on a fugly board...what would you do?
200 max buy in, blinds 2/5. Table is about 7 handed. I raise UTG+1 to $15 with red AA and get 4 callers. The flop comes
7s 3h 6h the SB leads out for $25, I decided to call to see the next card. The player to my left then raises it to $75. The Button, who has me covered, cold calls the $75, the SB folds, and it is now back to me with about $200 left in my stack. Is sticking it in here a solid play or would people strongly consider folding. Even if we are against a hand say like 7h5h are we still in good shape? Sorry if i am rambling this if off the top of my head and im running out the door. Thanks for the feedback. Ps I won the hand in question i just wonder if this is not as clear of a push as i thought it was. |

Re: AA on a fugly board...what would you do?
i would be strongly concerned about BTNs coldcall and i seriously wanna fold. but then i check my cards again and see that i have the beautiful Ace of hearts and im just gonna puuuuuush =)
sb's range is huge from a set to overpair to fd to a naked 7 sometimes. you call so player to your left could be making a play . BTNs call is pretty strong. at least a FD i guess. on the second thought i think i like a fold here |

Re: AA on a fugly board...what would you do?
Raise far more pf, people are only 40xbb deep, you should be making it at least $25 PF. Also, include relevant stack sizes (esp. yours) in the hand.
I'd just shove over the SB here with a standard stack, but as played, insta-shove here. |

Stick it in. You are probably about 50/50 to win this if both call, and they probably both will.
