Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
Turn 8 and River 8 would be quad 8's, Ace kicker, chop pot.

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
The AQ hand by Scotty was really really bad. If he thought he had the best hand he should realize Hilm likely isn't valuebetting worse and is often bluffing, so he should check/call the turn and then check/re-evauluate the river. By shoving the turn he is getting called by everything that beats him and is practically never getting called by worse.
Tran's QT call is pretty gross when both obvious draws got there (45/clubs). No donk at the main event is turning 88 into a bluff there. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
As a tournament reporter I have some inside information.
The WSOP is filmed without announcers and Lon & Norm are added in after the fact. The WPT actually will have Vince & Mike at the final table and they do some commentary that makes it into the broadcasts, but mostly they are there to provide immediate "reaction" shots that we see on the air. A good percentage of their commentary is done after the fact as well. |

Heh, on one of the 2003 episodes, you can actually see Norman Chad in the crowd sitting by himself while you hear him (from the booth) talking to Lon. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
This hasn't been answered yet in this thread yet
But running 8's make quadd 8's with an Ace high kicker for both players. I wish posters were like more responsive to questions that are asked instead of leaving people waiting for answers. |
