Re: $16 - QQ raise or push preflop?
[ QUOTE ]
JJ is much harder to play postflop with this stack size, and three possible overcards. A push is profitable with JJ, so many times players like to avoid awkward postflop play by pushing. With QQ, this isnt as much of a problem. [/ QUOTE ] So it's lower EV, but simpler? That doesn't seem like good advice |

Re: $16 - QQ raise or push preflop?
Raise 500, call all shoves. If first limper shoves and button calls, shove any flop except AKX high which I try to check down.

Re: $16 - QQ raise or push preflop?
[ QUOTE ]
You could raise it to 400 (so a raise of 300 more). Then if MP2 shoves, and if the button calls you can then shove over. A raise to 525 forgoes the chance of shoving over a button call I think, since MP2's raise wouldn't be a full raise, meaning you can't 4-bet. (Of course, the btn would probably fold to an AI from MP2, but I still think the move is worth it for the few times it works.) [/ QUOTE ] I like raising to 400 also. |
