when tuan le has the ball why would it be any different from a regular guy playing an 11 year old

i dont see how he gets a shot off without doing retarded underhead shots to get around walker

walker prob scores on 80-90% of his possessions

[/ QUOTE ]

I doubt he could hit 80% from 22ft undefended.

[/ QUOTE ]
cant he rebound?

if le is guarding ball walker is basically shooting undefended unless le is able to get away with hacking him

if le doesn't defend the ball and just tries to rebound he gets maybe 20% of boards?

walker prob scores on closer to 95% of possessions

Its gotta be pretty close to that, I think. What do you think guys like Ray Allen shoot undefended?

a lot of this depends on whether or not walker:

a)tries to rebound his misses

b)tries to play defense

I'm pretty certain most NBA non-centers can hit at least 70% unguarded.

You highly underestimate NBA players.

[/ QUOTE ]

You might overestimate. Gilbert Arenas was recently trying to make 100K shots and was something like 70% from the NBA 3, which is 23'9". 80% wouldn't shock me, but I'd pretty surprised if 'Toine was the one pulling it off.

edit: woops, 23'9", not 22'9". That changes things, but I don't think 80% from 22 feet is cake for most NBA players.

But he was putting in long days, like hundreds and hundreds of shots.

I think people underestimate how hard it would be for a slow guy like Antoine to have to play in dress shoes. If Tuan actually has a decent dribbling game, and any kind of endurance, then there is a better then 10% chance to win here I think. And as othes said it depends of it's make or not.

vhawk,

Yeah, but Gilbert is a better shooter (based on form and real game data).

I know NBA players are crazy skilled, but 22 feet is no cake walk for a lot of these guys, and 80% is on the high side. You tell me Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Dirk, then OK, I can buy that. I have a hard time believing it with the Wiggle.

He's a career 63% FREE THROW shooter. Last year he was 43%!

Free throws are from 15ft. Granted they are fatigued when they are shooting them, but still...80% from 22ft??? Are you guys nuts?

That said, I'm pretty sure if it's for any decent amount of money, Tuan wouldn't be able to score on Toine.

Ok, maybe he doesn't shoot 80%, but it has to be relatively close to that. Even if its only 65-70%, he still rebounds some of the time. So he's scoring on 3 out of 4 possessions. How many times is Tuan scoring? 1 in 20? And he only has to beat him 12-3. 5-1 doesnt seem even close to right.
