Re: (36) Basic AK hand
[ QUOTE ]
Not that it's entirely relevant to this hand, but I don't mind under-representing my hand postflop from time to time given how infrequently I c-bet. I don't want my opponents to think that everytime I check a flop I'm c/f'ing. But yeah, as I mentioned above, that's not all that important here since I rarely play with these players. [/ QUOTE ] i agree, but players arent perceptive enough to remember exactly what flops you did this on if at all... save the checking tptk for the k42 rainbow flops... theyll still think of it as checking tptk... you should bet on this particular flop close to 100% in sngs imo... |

bigt, i'm worried about what happens if we bet and he calls and the turn is a QJT9 or heart (i.e. half the deck) [/ QUOTE ] He's a regular according to bones. If he calls flop no matter what your hand is not looking good, turn card not so imoprtant. |

Re: (36) Basic AK hand
[ QUOTE ]
Don't have the HH in front of me. Effective stacks are very close to 1500. Button is braminc, a regular 36 player (from what I've seen). I pretty much only play this game when I'm obviously busto, which I am right now... [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: (36) Basic AK hand
I don't really like checking when the pot is 375 and the board is of this texture if I don't intend to go all the way. I would check/raise AI the way I play AK (limp-call PF) but meh I don't really get it here. The problem with check/calling is that you are banking on him to check both the turn/river + not outdraw you in the process. Too much of a parlay for me and I really don't mind picking up the pot with a bet.

Re: (36) Basic AK hand
C/f turn seems fine, but I don't like your line over all.
I think you should c/r flop or lead (somewhat weakly, like a suck bet) turn. He could have AQ, AK, or a little-mid pp. His hand is not defined well cause you haven't shown any aggression oop. It's a 36! You have TPTK on flop. I think I would bet out the flop. Even better for u since u usually don't... If raised on flop, shove. If called. Bet half pot on turn and reevaluate if he shoves. Mostly fold there. On a blank turn, call shove. Def think leading flop on a dangerous board for his range is the way to go. |

Re: (36) Basic AK hand
If the turn was a blank would you lead the turn, or were confident that if he bet the turn you were beat?
