HUSNG: Draw oop
IN this situation against the typical loose passive player found at the lower limits, how should I play this draw?

Why, I don't think I have much fold equity and what is your plan if the turn bricks? If I hit a flush its not hand I want to be committed with

If you decide to check and he bets, fold. You explained reasons. Too much reversed implied odds and you won't get paid if you hit unless he has you beat. |

Re: HUSNG: Draw oop
I bet here because i bet with A8, AdX a set and a made flush.
Im somewhat aggro. If villain calls then you need to evaluate the turn, but basically the villain needs to have a strong made hand or a big diamond to continue and that isnt going to happen often in general. Fwiw its true that hitting a flush isnt a lock on the showdown, but its a pretty good chunk of equity you would otherwise not have. There is a good argument that you shouldnt bet this flop without a diamond though imo that all comes down to the flow of the game and the villain's tendancies at the time. |
