Line check - 66 OOP
Villain is a calling station. I have seen him call with absolute air on a 2flush board in a multiway pot, then get lucky and hit a runner straight, so I'm fairly certain he is drawing to a flush or a straight, and my hand is best. How's my line, and what is my river action. Comments on other streets are welcomed as well. Thanks in advance!

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
Based on your read, if you're positive he could make that river bet with a busted flush draw, I'm calling.

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
I don't really like building a pot vs. a calling station on the turn in that spot.

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
So you would rather let him draw for free? If another spade hits he's not getting another cent from me.

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
Ok so you're certain he's on a draw (I wouldn't be against the standard version of this opponent because he could have anything, but then again, I wasn't at your table)...
So if you're confident in your read, why are you checking the river? |

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
Check river to catch busted draws.

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
i assume because he isnt calling a bet with any busted draws but is bluffing with a much wider range - if that is the case then you have to call imo

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
Do you have numbers on his river aggression? If you believe that he's prone to bet a busted draw obviously just c/c, but I'd probably lead river and fold to a raise against a standard calling station.

Re: Line check - 66 OOP
if he has a busted draw then he is going to call ~fa of the time surely?
making the c/c the far superior play no? edit: i mean what are you beating thats calling your lead?* |
