Default Would you cash out a close friend on Full Tilt, 1k for $100?

My friend wants me to cash out $1k for him on Full Tilt because he "doesn't trust a check."

I haven't played on there in a long time. I have heard that they wouldn't let such a transaction happen.

Does this seem worthwhile to you?

I don't think it is but maybe I'm missing out on an easy $100.

I wouldn't pay taxes on it as it is not income.

They wouldn't let such a transaction happen if it went like "transfer -> withdraw." some cover play before the transfer and some cover play after the transfer should make it OK I guess, but don't take my word for it.

All I'm sure of is that you should not just transfer the money and then withdraw it soon after.

if you are able to show your friend the whole process as you do it (and thus avoid any risk of being liable for the debt if it doesn't work) then I would be happy to cash out.

i'd suggest withdrawing $1k from your current account first - and then depositing the $1k from your friend's account. that way you avoid the deposit -> withdraw flags.

I don't get it. Why doesn't he want a check?

Maybe he reads these forums, and it's worth $100 to him to avoid the horror stories of people who have requested a check from FT.

Stuff like this never works out very solid. Either something will go badly and you'll end up with a headache, or it'll go smoothly and he'll argue that he shouldn't have to pay $100 for an easy transaction he could've done himself.

I dunno, I don't think it's the best idea.
