\"Click here for a free ___\" : do these things work?
Those pop-ups that say click here for a free ipod/iphone/xbox etc. are obviously a bit shady, but do they work? I imagine you have to give lots of information so they can sell your e-mail address and mailing address to advertisers. Anybody have any TRs?

some years ago I got a free 17 inch LCD monitor this way.
I had to sign up for a bunch of poker sites and play x hands at each. alternatives include signing up for trial service for cable/cel phones, or credit cards, or stuff like that. so it's not excatly free, but depending how shifty you are, you can get this stuff for some time commitment + little money. it took a little while but I got it.
