adjusting to flop raise/folder.
BTN opens, I 3ball AJ in SB.
J34 I bet, he raises, I 3ball, he folds. So uh, this guy was randomly taking a shot on a Jxx flop? Or my flop 3bet leaks too much information? Does this mean in the future if I had AT I'd have to calldown? |

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
i dunno if it's just a random shot, this could be something like 66 right?
"Does this mean in the future if I had AT I'd have to calldown?" obviously 3bet the flop. |

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
Yeah i really has to be like 77/66. I think A5 he probably calls here with 6 outs. He probably puts himself on a 2 outer and then folds.
I don't know if you have to showdown AT. The only adjustment i make is my flop b/3b becomes b/c flop, c/r turn. |

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
it doesnt have to be a made hand either. one high card uncoordinated flops are common bluffing flops. Jxy Qxy Kxy where x and y are both like 7 and lower. he could have had QT KT K9 Q9 etc. etc.

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
Yah I guess but bluffing this flop vs a tight tag 3 bet out of SB no es bueno
I do see your point though. |

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
cool thing is that he should actually not fold a hand like KT to this flop 3-bet

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
Here's an estimation of my 3betting range here:
55+ A9s+ ATo+ KJs+ KQo+ QJs JTs With this range, on J34 I have top pair or better 29% of the time. I have 55 or better 53% of the time. And worse than 55 47% of the time. So wouldn't bluffing this flop be good? |

Re: adjusting to flop raise/folder.
its really not a bad spot to bluff. overall i really think things like this even out - you are going to call (minimum) a flop raise with just about all of your range, so his bluff will actually cost 2bb in this pot. sometimes his bluff will never work because you'll showdown an ace high hand. i think we would all have close to the same winrates if we just folded possible bluffing hands on this flop (in villain's spot). we would just have lower standard deviations since we could just fold AK on the turn without a worry about being bluffed (in hero's spot).
