No real read on the villain at this point it was his sixth hand at the table. I had raised the previous 3 hands and decided to try and just limp with my Ace hoping to trap him for a large hand.
I am happy with how I played the flop, but I am not sure if I played it right on the turn. Is this a situation that I should be trying to get the rest of my chips in? I think you should raise or fold preflop. I'm not a big fan of the flop checkraise.

Middle aces aren't really great trapping hands out of position. Or in position, generally. As played, I bet/three-bet the flop to try to get all-in. The trouble with the flop checkraise is that it bloats the pot while leaving a lot of money behind, so unless you make the nuts or two pair on the turn you're gonna be in a really tricky situation, as your equity plummets on a bad card. Whereas if you bet the flop, you'll have at least 43% equity against a nightmare range of {AA, TT, ATs+, A3s, AJo+}. You don't get to snap off a c-bet that way, but you will get to snap off a loose raise, which is just as good.

Raise preflop, as played it looks fine.

He actually turned over AJo. Thanks for the responses everyone. I will definitely be raising pf in the future. I will also be looking to bet/3-bet this type of hand to increase my chances of getting it in on the flop.
