Re: 2/4 QQ flops set
[ QUOTE ]
Why is it so unlikely that the villain doesn't have 99? [/ QUOTE ] Would somebody who didn't seem to be completely out of their mind cap this flop with 99? |

Re: 2/4 QQ flops set
KK is possible and if he is very loose preflop so is JT. Another possibility is a semibluff w As,Js or As,Ts or even As,xs (again, he must b very lose preflop). That said there are far more hands he could have worse than yours than better. This is low lim I say run and gun; raise.

Re: 2/4 QQ flops set
Only thing he beats you with is KK of JT, so at least call. If the board pairs on the river I'd bet/call.
What the heck if MP2 doing? AB |

Re: 2/4 QQ flops set
[ QUOTE ]
Well you might be against KK-3 combinations and AA-6 that will beat you, and you are beating AK-12 combinations it is 12:9=1,33:1 in your favor and you still have 10 outs for a full house or 4 of a kind, so do not worry about flash draw MP2 might have, so I would call and see what the river will bring. Is this a good thinking? :-) [/ QUOTE ] He has no outs to a full house as it makes a bigger full for KK since that is all OP seems to be concerned about. The button may be trying to eliminate the drawing MP2 as well. I raise and call a re-raise... only slowing on the river if I'm 4 bet again. |

Re: 2/4 QQ flops set
I agree with Sandberg. No way you fold here, and being aggressive is the way to go. Three bet and if he caps, you prolly c/c the river. There ARE a few cards you'd rather not see on the river, aren't there?
