I don't know who most of my second cousins are, never met and wouldn't recognize them on the street, but I have three adopted second cousins who i do know, and it would most definitely be creepy to date one. [/ QUOTE ] He said nothing about "dating" Also, like a lot of responses here, it is going to depend on the family, adopted or not really shouldn't matter(much anyway) if you see her at family functions regularly, probably a little weird, if not, she is no different than the neighbor to your family member where the family party was.
