3 hands with one theme: strong draw on flop.
NL 6 max 50NL. There is no hh-converter for Everest poker? Hand 1 : I am CO with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG, a solid TAG, $60, I have him covered, raises to 1,75. I call. Flop [$4,25]: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain bets $3. Call or raise or shove? Hand 2: I am the button with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I have 70 big blinds = $35. Everyone has me covered. Folds to me. I raise to $1,75. SB (no reads) makes it $3. I call. Flop [$6,75]: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain bets $3. Call raise or shove? Hand 3: I am UTG+1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Fold. I make it $1,75 to go. BB (no reads) calls; he has $32 = 64 BB's. I have him covered. Flop [$3,75]: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain bets $3,80. Call, raise or shove? I hope this is not too standard.. |

first thing - always rebuy to full, so in hand 2 you should have a 100bb stack. it really depends on ur read on villain, but readless, i call in hand 1 and raise in hands 2 and 3. umm, pushing would be hideous, because thatd be a sick overbet and is completely uneccesary...

Always sit with 100bb. I raise hand 1 & 2 and usually call hand 3.

Hand 1 is an easy raise. Hand2 is also a raise because of your position.H3 call.

Hand 2, to what amount would you raise? 10-12 or something?
More basic question: why should we raise hand 2? I suppose as a semi-bluff. So we want villain to fold. Moving in will accomplish that goal more often. And if we raise to 12 and he moves in, we have to call because of pot odds don't we? So if we raise we are pot-committed, and we want our opponent to fold. Shoving is the best option then? |

Hand1, raise: it's the only way to play for stacks if you hit the turn, and you might get a free river if you don't.
Hand 2, raise: it's a dry-ish flop, you're open-ended with live overs. Hand 3, call. Reverse implied odds are awful if an ace hits the turn and you've raised the flop and been called. |
