Default lol livaments --idiot end

CO is rocky/weak. he was pretty passive with a J9 on a board like: 8JJx8 (i.e. bets/calls flop c/r, & calls down thereafter, even after filling w/top boat.
Others are very LPP call down with lots of weak hands.

In retrospect I thought a flop c/r is probably better.

live 2/4
Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
4 limpers, CO raises, 2 folds, hero & limpers call.

flop: 9 J T r (6, players ~12SB)
Hero donks, 2 folds, 3 callers, incl CO

turn: Q [completes rainbow] (4 players, ~8BB)
Hero?

I really hate my hand, but I wonder if a bet/fold is in order. Villain is only raising the nuts here, right? He will just call down a flopped set, eh? Or should I c/f?

I think betting out is in order. Your chances are actually decent here, just counting the unseen cards I get a 56% probability that nobody has a K. Maybe that should be discounted a bit because of COs preflop raise and the flop folders (they probably did not have K), but still.

Bet out for value and to protect yourself against 8 and K on the river.

If you are raised you can probably fold against most players.

I say definately b/f

1) For value
2) If you check and some villain bets, you don't know where you are. If it is checked around to them do you think your opponents would bet sets or even two-pair?

Ordinarily, yes, but given your read it's dangerous. A player like CO isn't going to bet [censored] on that board after raising unless he has JJ, and most rocks don't raise that preflop.

Failing to protect here is bad, but letting it get checked through is worse. Donk and hope to God someone raises so you can jam it up.

Jam it up as in 3-betting? If so, that's spew.
