Default Looking for Backer - Not sure how this would work

Hi,

I'm a long time poker player that would like to look into obtaining a backer for multi-table tournaments on Pokerstars. I don't have any idea how that would work or if there are people out there that do that or if this is an inappropriate post on the Zoo. I have a very good track record that dates back more than 8 years. You can check out my stats on OPR and see for yourself. My name on pokerstars is also Goodie.

If anyone is interested in taking me up on this or talking further about it, you can e-mail me at goodie54@hotmail.com

Thank you for your time.

Peace.

I really don't understand the concept of backing people. It makes zero sense for anything except the largest stakes and then only for risk diversification.

That being said I was having this debate with someone and he mentioned a site which sounded much like that sketchy Prosper.com loan site where they would match players and backers. All I can remember is that it had "Dont", "Beg" and "Money" in the URL. With google and some good searches you might be able to find it.

A good player doesn't need a Backer, why would he share?
Backing a bad player doesn't benefit the Backer.

True in cash, less so in MTTs.
The variance is so brutal and BR requirements so high form MTTs that there are plenty of good players who can't play the bigger buyin tourneys even though they be +EV in them.

I'm not sure why the hate. I back myself, so I'm not interested. But backing deals are common and legit (if the parties involved are LOL). And a great MTT player can go a long time without a score and then hit 3 in a row. its the nature of the beast.

I don't know whether its OK to ask here or not. Ask a mod.

I can only come up with $2,100 that I can use for staking, hopefully it's enough.
