Re: 99 turned straight on 3 flush board
Against a range of 88-QQ,AK you have 40% equity. Since you are getting 37:14, or something like 2.7:1 it's a call against that range.
Against AK you have 12% equity. But including only JJ and QQ makes this a call. I think his range needs to be a little bit wider than AK and you are priced in. |

Re: 99 turned straight on 3 flush board
I call all day long here. I think he played this very similarily as the way a hand like AQ or AJ would be played. Probably has AQ with the ace of spades figuring if you call with the straight, he has the flush out. The nut flush here is possible, although I'm not sure he wouldn't be 3 betting you with AKs.

Re: 99 turned straight on 3 flush board
i think it's a fold, i just pokerstoved and i don't think you have enough equity, the range i put in you got about 25% equity... i didn't include much in the way of single spade Axs etc draws, but i don't know if he's pushing those here.

Re: 99 turned straight on 3 flush board
yeah don't like a flop peel because your OOP, and he likely has a king in his hand. Not to mention its impossible to bluff him off the turn if you don't hit, and when you do hit he won't always pay you off (especially with his entire stack).
This isn't even counting the times your drawing nearly dead to AK. |

Re: 99 turned straight on 3 flush board
yeah no other choice is very appealing besides check/fold. No idea why you'd think check/call would be good and betting this flop probably isn't a very good idea against most.
