a 3-bet pre and a check on the flop screams monster to me. as played you have to pay him off on the river. looks fine though

So true. A 10/4/1 reraises preflop and then checks the A high flop with a set of aces so often, it just makes me want to cry. Its not good poker, its not tricky, and it makes it obvious what you have once you start to put money in since your flop check is either a pair less then TP, or a set, and you aren't putting the money in with less than TP.
