Poker players and weight gain
I saw that Dutch boyd has gained a little weight over the years. I noticed that Brett Jungblood and Gavin Griffin have also. Can you think of anyone else and how to prevent this? thanks.

Re: Poker players and weight gain
Yeah, take the fork out of your mouth and exercise more.
I must admit, Mike the Mouth looks like he's gaining weight.. He doesn't look to good, but he said he ate something bad... |

David Benyamine.
And do other things than just play poker/eat nonstop. Maybe even exercise! Quite simple really. |

Re: Poker players and weight gain
Exercise is important, Aba talks a lot about this in his CR blogs, i.e. gaining weight from sitting around playing a lot after having been an active athlete but subsequently getting back into the gym/running a 10K, which helped him get back into shape. The sedentary lifestyle causes weight gain obv. Working out and releasing endorphines helps with concentration as well as physical health so its prob. beneficial to playing well. Good way to relieve stress (tilt related or anything) as well.

Re: Poker players and weight gain
When people mention "working out", it doesn't mean you need to hit the gym 3-4 hours each day. It really doesn't take much to stay in shape.

[/ QUOTE ] I believe JOEYBITCH was the first to ever compile such a list. Of course, that was a while ago. Must've been back, oh, twenty-and-aught-one or so. Unfortunately, I don't think he ever developed any methods of "prevention". |
