MINT WARS

I, for one, look forward to the increased minting efficiencies we are sure to see as a result of competition from private corporations. Expect the price of US Mint-issued quarters to drop in the coming weeks.
Four-week target: $0.2275

I think it's neat that it's not illegal in the US to create and mint or publish your own currency.

I'm not a Numismatic, but I have watched a lot of TV and I don't think the FM is minting quarters so much as they are painting already minted quarters. Totally a value added situation.

Unless your state is the one getting painted over with an advertising gimmic and you are one of those people who has a "Native" license plate and care about such things.
