Calling All-Ins with a draw.
I have been thinking a lot lately about this situation.
You have an Ace-high flushdraw bet/raise whatever and the other player shoves all-in. you know he is agressive so he could have a draw too. is it correct to call him thinking you are getting the right price considering his range or better fold and wait for a better spot. what do you guys think? Examples: Hand1: Table "SummerFever" Seat 3 is the button. Seat 1: lanausee ($5197 in chips) Seat 2: Sharrow ($11349 in chips) Seat 3: Criztal ($4900 in chips) Seat 4: Jibby147 ($5504 in chips) Seat 5: I_READ_U! ($10319 in chips) Seat 6: Mafews ($10547 in chips) Jibby147: posts small blind $25 I_READ_U!: posts big blind $50 ----- HOLE CARDS ----- dealt to I_READ_U! [Ah Th] Mafews: folds lanausee: folds Sharrow: folds Criztal: folds Jibby147: raises to $200 I_READ_U!: calls $150 ----- FLOP ----- [Qh Qd 3h] Jibby147: bets $250 I_READ_U!: raises to $700 Jibby147: raises to $5304 and is all-in Hand2: Table 'Tinette' 9-max Seat #8 is the button Seat 1: chaos183 ($5197 in chips) Seat 2: DaMadPotter ($9193 in chips) Seat 5: Samhot84 ($2534 in chips) Seat 6: twin-caracas ($23178 in chips) Seat 7: idoubleL ($3758 in chips) Seat 8: ADZ124 ($4800 in chips) Seat 9: knockstiff ($950 in chips) knockstiff: posts small blind $25 chaos183: posts big blind $50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to chaos183 [As Qs] DaMadPotter: folds Samhot84: folds twin-caracas: raises $150 to $200 idoubleL: folds ADZ124: folds knockstiff: folds chaos183: calls $150 *** FLOP *** [5s Js 8d] chaos183: checks trump236 joins the table at seat #3 twin-caracas: bets $300 chaos183: raises $550 to $850 twin-caracas: raises $22128 to $22978 and is all-in |

Re: Calling All-Ins with a draw.
I do this a lot when I tilt. In my experience, it's not worth it.

Re: Calling All-Ins with a draw.
I wouldn't recommend the call with ATs on the QQ3 board as any two pair or Q limits your outs and could have you drawing dead on the turn. also, the likelyhood that he is pushing with a made hand is much greater on the paired board. However against twin, you have 1k of your 5k invested and there's tons of combo draws he would push in that spot (67s, 9Ts, T8s).

Re: Calling All-Ins with a draw.
Hand 1 : don't raise the flop. Your hand has enough value that you do not need to semibluff.
Hand 2 : yea whatever I gamble, I also checkraise bigger if I checkraise. With the way twin is playing these days though you should definitely reraise preflop for value and consider not checkraising the flop. |

Re: Calling All-Ins with a draw.
I might be able to talk myself into a call in hand one if I think villain will shove worse flush draws often.

Re: Calling All-Ins with a draw.
i just call on hand one and seriously consider trying to make a move on the turn.
hand two insta call. not only do you have good equity but you have to factor into your equity the implied odds you get if you suck out on twin and he goes on monkey tilt. |
